Learn a Little History

So my family has a Christmas tradition of doing something in Washington, DC either around Christmas or on Christmas Eve. This year we went to the Smithsonian's of American History Museum and the Air and Space Museum.

In the American History, we saw so many things. We mainly went their for the new exhibits of the History of Coins, American Enterprise, and we also stopped off a little at the Innovation hands on portion. My favorite part has to be the American Enterprise. You get to see how American businesses changed history and also how they have evolved over the centuries. You get the history of the cotton gin and also going all the way up to cell phones (included iPhone 3GS!) It was weird seeing things there that were from even just a few years ago but that's what makes history so interesting. It is always being added too.

Anyone else remember AOL Floppy Disks?
Beanie Babies!

Then we walked over to the Air and Space. We haven't been to this one in years so that made it all the more interesting because they have added so many new things. I love seeing the new things they add like now they have replicas of the Mars Rovers. They even have an exhibit right now where it is hands on and you can virtually fly a plane and learn about how people are already building flying cars!
