After having so many days with bright sun and warmth, it is hard to be motivated with the clouds, rain, and snow outside today. When you can find an outfit you like, it is a lot easier. Having some pieces that work for whatever the weather throws at you is essential.
I took these photos while in Old Town Alexandria when it was still warm out. I think that once March hits, it should be spring (each season gets 3 months, right?). It is always hard to gage what to wear when the weather suddenly does 180s. You could have a capsule wardrobe for all seasons but if it starts snowing in spring, you will be freezing. If you have a vacation to a colder climate but it randomly has a heat wave you will be sweating.
I think having some universal pieces is essential. Take this sweater, it's 3/4 sleeve and not as tightly packed knit so it works for spring but it is also warm so then you can wear it when it is colder out.
